We raise Deutsch Drahthaars. Our dogs are trained in obedience and hunting. They are intelligent and well-socialized members of our family. The North American relative of this breed is known as German Wirehaired Pointers. Our dogs are registered with the VDD-GNA and NAVHDA.

Yes, we specialize in professional dog training services tailored to meet the unique needs of each dog and their owner. We train dogs at our facility in Romulus, New York. We have expansive acreage that is a Licensed Hunting Preserve. Obedience training, retrieving, and hunting lessons are all offered by our trainer, Ty Haws. Whether you need basic obedience training, behavior modification, or hunting training, please reach out to apply for training.

Yes, we are a small kennel that plans on having a litter per year or so. Our goal is to breed the best to the best and improve the breed. Our “A” litter is on the ground as of 11/15/2025.

The first thing you do is fill out our puppy application on our Contact page. Following that, we set up a phone call. If we both agree we are a good fit, I will put you on a waiting list. Once the pregnancy is confirmed, you will be asked to place a $500 deposit to hold your spot. We only refund if we do not have the sex you requested.

German Wirehaired Pointers (GWPs) and Drahthaars are both versatile hunting breeds. Deutsch Drahthaar are different in the way the registry handles the breed. For a Deutsch Drahthaar to be breed certified they must pass multiple hunting tests, a breed show and have completed multiple health screenings.

At Autumn's Harvest Kennel we train any kind of dog, but our focus is hunting breeds. Our focus is training through positive reinforcement. Our training emphasizes clear leadership. We provide challenging, goal-oriented tasks to maintain their focus and prevent boredom.
